We’re now living in Thailand. Lets say its about 2 hours (200 km) south of Bangkok, a wonderfully friendly place called Hua Hin, which nicely borders the Gulf of Thailand and mountains with Myanmar – population of about 85,000 in an area of 900 square km, and a perfect blend of old and new. It is known as the summer residence of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX).

The year begins with the dry season (December–April), before the monsoon arrives in May. Rains ease somewhat from June to August before the heaviest rains begin in September and continue through November.

It’s not really the same as the old digs back in Calgary. But, it’s not like living on Mars… simply different climate, food, people and adventures.
